Good Luck in your Exams

Dear year 11 student.

Thank you for all your hard work and commitment across your time at Ingleby Manor School.

The time has come, GCSE’s 2023 are upon us.  Please do not worry about them, you have worked hard and will do well; we will be with you all the way.  It is a busy time with many examinations taking place.     To support you, we have looked at the timetable of examinations and put together a calendar of booster classes that will help push you the last few yards.  We know you are revising hard, please continue to do this at home (little and often).  These boosters are aimed to support you (not replace other revision).

A few key points to note: –

  • We expect full attendance from all learners up until the end of school on Thursday 15th June.  Students are required to wear full uniform as normal.
  • When not in a booster or examination you will be in lessons as normal.
  • From Friday 16th of June, you will only need attend boosters and examinations in the subjects you study.
  • Please be aware that the awarding bodies have designated the afternoons of 8th of June; 15th of June and all day on the 28th of June as a ‘contingency days’ for examinations. Therefore, you should remain available until this date, should an awarding body need to invoke its contingency plan.
  • We have lots to celebrate.  You are invited to bring in a spare shirt to sign on Thursday 15th June.  We will be having the leavers assembly for the ‘class of 2023’ to celebrate your achievements and look forward to your next steps.

Please see the attached calendar of booster sessions that have been organised to support you through the examination window.  These sessions will be led by your teachers and subject directors, and will be highly beneficial, so please ensure give your best in them.

All that is left now, is for me to wish you the very best of luck, and for you to show how hard you have worked.  I am confident that you will all get your well-deserved rewards in the Summer 2023 examinations.

The best of luck to you all.
