Dear Parent / Carer

Re: Dropping off and Collecting students from School

As the weather turns colder and the mornings and nights grow darker, we are seeing an increase in the number of students being dropped off and collected by car.

To ensure that safety is maintained at all times and obstructions are kept to a minimum, please can we ask that drivers are considerate and adhere to the following:

  • Do NOT park on any crossing leading to the school. In doing so there is no safe route for our students getting to school from across the road and as such there is a risk of accident or injury occurring.
  • Park in the carpark adjacent to the front of the building where possible to avoid causing an obstruction to others.
  • Refrain from parking directly in front of the school reception or causing an obstruction to the slip road in front of the school. In the event of an emergency, an Ambulance or Fire Engine will not be able to get through and this could delay a response to an emergency.
  • Be respectful of local residents and do not mount the curb and park on their front grass.

Thank you for your ongoing support as we work together to keep your children safe.

Kind regards

Ingleby Manor School
