Sports Clubs

Sport clubs provide an opportunity for our students to learn skills that will help them in school, as well as in their future careers and personal relationships. Through engagement in sport, our students will learn leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, responsibility, self-discipline, and a sense of initiative.

Here at Ingleby Manor school we feel it is important that students stay fit and healthy doing something they enjoy and over the course of the school year we will be offering a variety of after school sports clubs for our students to enjoy. Below are some examples of clubs that may be available for your child to join.

Students will be provided with more information on which clubs will be running, how to sign up and what equipment they will require.

Football

Both male and female students will have the opportunity to join one of our Football clubs where they will learn skills and tactics for playing the game, develop fitness levels, along with team work. Students selected to join the school football team will have the opportunity to represent the school in local and national leagues against other schools.

Equipment required: Football boots and Shin Guards

Netball

Students will have the opportunity to join our Netball club where they will learn skills and tactics for playing the game, develop fitness levels, along with team work. Students selected to join the school Netball team will have the opportunity to represent the school in local and national leagues against other schools.

Rugby

Students will have the opportunity to join our Rugby club where they will learn skills and tactics for playing the game, develop fitness levels, along with team work. Students selected to join the school Rugby team will have the opportunity to represent the school in local and national leagues against other schools.

Equipment required: Mouth guards

Running

Students will have the opportunity to join our Running club where they will develop their fitness levels whilst enjoying short and long distance running. This club is designed for students who enjoy running for fun but also for those who want to compete and represent the school.

Badminton / Tennis

Students will have the opportunity to develop their skills in Badminton or Tennis. Learn to work in doubles and as a single player. This fun club can be enjoyed by all
