Charity Day – JUST ONE Tree

October 15

Students are invited to come to school and donate £1 in aid of Just One Tree

Students will have the opportunity to purchase nature inspired cakes at break from the dining hall for £1 donation. In addition, for every cake purchased,  students will be given a raffle ticket where they will be put into a draw to plant a tree sapling in November. The raffle tickets chosen will enable those students to take part in a tree planting session and also dedicate their tree sapling to someone special, someone who has inspired them, a relative or a friend. Students can then watch these grow throughout their time at Ingleby Manor School and leave these as a legacy once they move on.

JUST ONE tree is a non profit organisation working to fight climate change by planting trees around the globe in areas most affected by deforestation and where impact on the environment will be at its greatest.

JUST ONE Tree led by Mrs Gow (Head of Geography) encourages students to have greater awareness of the environment, the impact we have and how we can make improvements. Students taking part in JUST ONE tree will also have the opportunity to help closer to home by taking part in tree planting initiatives in the local area.

Ingleby Manor School have supported JUST ONE Tree for a number of years and the generosity of our staff and students enabled 402 trees to be planted during the academic year of 2019/2020 and 852 trees to be planted during the academic year of 2020/2021. This year we would like to help plant over 1000 trees and with your support we hope to achieve this.
